Welcome to Project TECH! We’re glad you are here!

Dear Project TECH Families,

It is with great excitement that I welcome you to Project TECH! I wish to extend a special greeting to our families, partners, stakeholders, and community leaders. I am honored to serve as Project Director since the inception of Project TECH in 2019. Our goal is to provide opportunities that will influence the educational, social, health and well-being, and recreational needs of all ages and sectors of the community. We offer an array of forums, webinars, speakers, activities, and events as well as experiential learning that is under the branches of technology, education, communication, and healthcare.

Education is a life-long process, and we will continue to grow and learn through the many experiences offered through Project TECH. Community engagement creates shared value and develops long-term relationships through collaborative efforts. As the old African Proverb states, “A family is like a forest, when you are outside, it is dense; when you are inside, you see that each tree has its place.” We will work together as one in unity to achieve our goals successfully.  Because the relationships between families and the community are vital to the success of our program, I encourage each member of the community to become involved in at least one of our group sessions. You will find the effort enjoyable and rewarding.

Yours sincerely,

Sarah Walker

Trinity Educational Community Center (TECC) was first established in 2008 as a 501(c)(3) outreach organization that offered enrichment opportunities for all ages and sectors of the community. By 2018, the TECC facility was open for business and became the hub for community programming as well as a meeting space for local businesses and organizations. Project TECH (Technology, Education, Communication, and Healthcare), the community services and programs subsidiary, was instituted in 2019 to provide local services which included the following intergenerational programs under the umbrella of Technology, Education, Communication, and Healthcare.

Project TECH’s mission is to provide meaningful opportunities that will influence the

educational, social, well-being, and recreational needs of all ages and sectors of the community.

Our focus is to empower members of the community by intentionally integrating education, financial literacy, health and
community involvement to address challenges and build equitable community planning and development.

To engage and support members of the community in utilizing technology tools and resources.
To prepare individuals for effective democratic participation and its importance in civic and social engagement.
To train and support stakeholders of the community in financial planning and literacy targeting elementary level through adulthood.

To promote healthy habits and attain personal goals that are consistent with healthy lifestyles.
